Rain, rain go away.

Come back on another day.

I hope this is not a taste of a summer to come. Did manage to get out for 20 minutes this a.m and decided on a banker. Cannop Feeders.

The rain started to pour and photography went out of the window. So back home and go through my adder shots see if there were any more I could post.

I'm really enjoying learning the in's and out's of photography. But need more sun so that I can practice the techniques that my friends have shown me.

Adder nice day!

What a glorious day. Thankfully I had a bad nights sleep due to my back pain so I was up early and out of the house. A trip to Farmers Green to look for the reported Stonechats was fruitless so i then went to look for Adders despite thinking its still too early. The warm day must have hit deep into the recesses because there were two Adders on show.

I know that these are not the clearest shots but this was my first real close up of Adder and I wasn't about to start moving twigs or strands of grass.

Fascinating little critters though.

Best of a bad job!

Since my last post I have taken few photos but not for the want of trying.
I travelled to Oxfordshire to try and photograph Munt Jac Deer, I saw quite a few but unfortunately due to poor weather and a determined effort by the deer not to be photographed I got no photos that I'm prepared to put on here.
I spent an hour in Andy's hide trying to get Hawfinch with no luck.
I went to Nagshead RSPB reserve to try and find Adders (I think it's still a bit early) with no luck.
I went to Awre with Chris Grady to try and find the Wheatear that have been seen there, not a sausage.
So when all else fails I resort to Cannop feeders. Thankfully you can always rely on them for something.
So a Dunnock, a Reed Bunting, and a pair of Mandarin Ducks are all I have to show for my efforts.
The Mandarins were nice though.
Please let us have some decent weather soon.
